Lake Of The Ozarks
The Lake of the Ozarks is a place like no other! With 54,000 acres of water, 1,150 miles of shoreline and fishing and boating opportunities from Gravois Mills to Camdenton, it’s hard to argue that the Lake of the Ozarks deserves any other designation. The Lake of the Ozarks is the Midwest’s best kept secret — a wonderful place to vacation, a better place to live, and a great place to invest in your dream!
Here is a little information on different communities around the Lake to help you get familiar with what each has to offer:
North Shore - The term North Shore refers to the first six miles of the Lake, starting from Bagnell Dam, along the north end of the Lake. There area is located within Miller and Morgan counties and there is limited zoning. Some people refer to the North Shore area as “the St. Louis side of the Lake.”
Horseshoe Bend - This name is applied to the peninsula created as the first 17 miles of water bends along the shore. The area is commonly also called “HH,” in reference to the main highway that runs its length.
Four Seasons - The area has restrictions pertaining to signs and zoning. Four Seasons always has been among the most popular places to live on the Lake. The properties feature the highest quality amenities and a great location that is convenient to everything.
Shawnee Bend -This term is applied to the communities of Sunrise Beach, Porto Cima, and The Villages. Sunrise Beach This West Side community was one of several that sprang up around the Lake after construction of Bagnell Dam. Sunrise Beach features resorts, marinas, healthcare, and all manors of other business.
Lake Ozark - The single most recognizable feature of Lake Ozark is the Strip. This business corridor features many locally owned businesses, including souvenir shops, arcades, candy shops, restaurants, and pubs. Some say the character is reminiscent of a community from long ago.
Porto Cima - This area, located along on the Shawnee Bend Peninsula, offers beautiful shoreline and amazing views. It is situated across the community bridge from Lake Ozark. The Club at Porto Cima features rolling hills and oak woodland, and an 18-hole Jack-Nicklaus signature golf course. Porto Cima translates to “hillside harbor in Italian and this lakefront community lives up to its name in a big way.
You will experience quality living as exemplified by the education offered at our area schools, the wide array of healthcare options, and the convenience of shops and marinas.
